Who Writes This Casino Nova Scotia Guide

Halifax Casino Soundings is written and signed by an in-house editorial team, credited as the Soundings crew, with no personal byline anywhere. This is an independent evening guide, not the casino, not its operator and not a gaming site.

The crew

The crew behind the pages

The Soundings crew is the guide's own editorial team. It signs the site collectively, without personal names. Its pages plan one evening: dinner, a show at the Bruce Guthro Theatre and an hour on the floor after the curtain. Each page draws on the casino's posted rules. When something is not posted, the page says so plainly.

Neither the casino nor Great Canadian Entertainment, NSGC, Atlantic Lottery or any gaming operator has a hand in the crew's work. Its only loyalty is to the guide. Nothing can be staked through these pages, and there is nothing here to join.

Method

Checking the facts

Facts were checked on October 12, 2026. The sources were the casino operator's pages, the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation, Nova Scotia Health and Atlantic Lottery. Service Nova Scotia and yourbestbet.ca were on the list too. Opening hours for 3Sixty, its buffet and May Garden are not posted, nor are slot-floor and holiday hours. The guide leaves them out and points to the casino phone, 902.425.7777.

Tools on the site work inside the open tab and send nothing anywhere. There are no forms, no accounts and no cookies. The one setting kept is the light or dark theme, and only until the tab closes.

Paid links

Ad links and commission

Three home-page links, each carrying an Ad tag, earn the guide its keep. They sit in the header, after the theatre section and near the end, and nowhere else. Each pays the guide a commission, and the casino it opens may later be swapped. That site is a private online casino, not alc.ca or Atlantic Lottery, with no tie to Casino Nova Scotia or NSGC. The guide makes no statement on its licence or legality in Nova Scotia; links to the casino, theatre and help lines earn nothing.

Letters

Writing to the Soundings crew

Mail to [email protected] is welcome for a mistake spotted, an hour or rule the casino has since altered, or curiosity about how the pages are made. That mailbox is the guide's own, not the casino's. Table bookings, show questions and other casino matters go to the casino at 902.425.7777.

Picture sources

Where the pictures come from

Four pictures are generated images, each drawn from photographs taken at Casino Nova Scotia Halifax. They show the empty stage of the Bruce Guthro Theatre, its round-table set, the entrance under the schooner sign and the domed pavilion across the lawn. Two others are Wikimedia Commons photographs: Paulo O's buffet table, edited (CC BY 2.0), and Ben MacLeod's front drive, cropped only (CC BY-SA 4.0). Their credits appear under each one and in the list just below. The harbour boardwalk and the café table are generated scenes, not places in the casino, and the people in the generated pictures are invented.

Questions

Asked at the desk

Is this site run by the casino?

No, the casino has no say in it. The Soundings crew writes it independently, and it is not a website of Casino Nova Scotia, Great Canadian Entertainment or NSGC. No bet can be placed through it, and there is nothing to join.

Can the guide book a dinner table or a show ticket?

The guide books nothing. For a dinner table, phone the casino at 902.425.7777. Theatre tickets, accessible seats included, are sold only through Ticketmaster.
